Mental Health and Well Being offers range of psychological evidenced based talking treatments. The treatments are undertaken by our consultant psychotherapist and joint director, Sabeen Mohamad who is accredited consultant with BABCP(British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies).  In our service we see every client as unique and the treatment is tailored very carefully and collaboratively with the client to address their psychological, emotional and behavioural need.

The sessions tend to last around 50 minutes and depending on the nature of the condition we offer twice weekly, weekly or fortnightly sessions.  There are wide range of therapies offered such as Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy to target mental health issues such as mood disorders including depression and Bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, panic disorders.  Moreover, we focus on work related stress, gender issues, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, anger difficulties, chronic fatigue syndrome, family issues, PTSD and Obsessive Compulsive

 

Psychological therapy involves changing behaviours and cognitions (thinking) to have positive emotions and overcoming unhelpful negative thinking patterns and behaviours. Depending on the nature of the condition, usually 6 to 12 sessions are required to overcome the difficulties.

Mental Health and Well Being also offers relationship and couple therapy sessions which are also undertaken by Sabeen Mohamad.
